Anyway of getting a zumo to work with the built in handlebar controller?

Hi Folks

Anyone found a way to make the spindle on the handlebar control work with a non BMW GPS? its a zumo 660 i have in the original BMW mounting bracket, hoping there is a patch or something i can install into the GPS

I very much doubt that it can be done economicaly

Not unless you have the technical know how to reverse engineer the Linbus commands and make them operate a Zumo.

Far easier and cheaper to buy Nav V.

You would need to hack the firmware of the 660 as well. Definitely not worth doing unless you want the challenge.
