Help.. why wont it work..

Got a laptop and daughters pc runing xp, surf the net using a d-link wireless router no problem, did the 128 bit secure wifi thing and alls well with them.
But my apple i book which I use for work cannot get on line...it keeps asking for a password which I give but fails to connect, box says incorrect password but it,s the same password the pc,s use.... i book has a airport card installed and work perfectly till I did the 128 encryption thingy


Anybody know what I,m missing (other than a few marbles )

Some types of encryption don't work too well cross platform.

I've always managed fine with WPA-PSK pre-shared key encryption, it uses a passphrase which will be exactly the same on both computers.

To de-bug the problem temporarily turn off encryption at the router and make sure the apple can 'see' the router. When it can all is well, just change the encryption type and Robert's your Dads brother

Funny for me its the other way round. The apple always connects no problem but XP... AAAARGGGGHHHHH....

Airport is a good name as thats where invariably the XP does not work...
