Apple TV abroad?

Anyone use apple TV overseas with a VPN?
Live most of my time just now in France and just want to view UK & Sky (I have an account) progs on my TV via my macbook pro?

I watch BBC and ITV on their respective players (both here in Germany and previously in Dubai). I use MyExpatNetwork.
