Close to buying one mainly for map use, health and general app use (not sleep quality!) but before I do has anyone got experience of how long on average the watch lasts before recharging?

Thank you in advance ⌚

Interesting. I've been considering buying one since the change at FitBit being bought out by Google, although I have thought more about a cheaper version of an Apple Watch, either a 10 or SE3.

Reading through I think the SE3 does what I will need, including maps etc, but is significantly cheaper. The downside though, is a charge every day, although it is supposed to be fast charging, whereas a FitBit would last the best part of a week, but the has a life span of 2-3 years before the battery finally dies completely, I know as I have had a few now.

Did you decide? If so, what do you think?

I have been using Apple Watches for years and currently on a 7. The battery life is now getting shorter and i have found that I always end up charging overnight which is not an issue. If your using something like Strava for long walks then the battery tends to give up.

Thanks, still deciding. I’d only use maps and health on the watch so £329 seems a bit overkill.
My son has one and is frequently telling me about the quality of his sleep as recorded on his watch. I sleep from 10pm to 3am so don’t need a watch to tell me that.
Leaning towards not buying one at the moment.

My series 8 watch does currently last 24h it is over three years old, worn daily, including to bed to monitor my sleep. I do put it on charge when I am back home from work. Usually around 7-8pm and it is fully charged within an hour whilst I am having a shower and have my dinner. When it was new, it would last around 36h. It will definitely last you a day out before needing to be charged again.

My watch 10 will last all day and more if I put it on some of the battery saving modes. Sometimes the battery life is bad. I don’t understand why. JJH
