Winter is on it's way so next weekend I intend to get the bike ready for the long cold commutes.

Got myself a can of ACF50 and intend to give the bike a through clean before application. When people say apply it every where do they mean literally everywhere including all the hot bits(apart from discs I assume).

And once I've applied it does that mean I don't wash the bike at all in the winter even when they've been laying salt on the road. And if I do go for a quick rinse down do I have to go through the whole application process again.

Not used this supposed wonder stuff before so I'm unclear as to the rules:confused:

ACF

I paint it on with an old paintbrush in the most exposed areas, i dont bother spraying it everywhere as it's a bugger to get off. During the salty months i just hose off the bike and occasionaly re-apply, bikes still looking good with only minor corrosion in the usual places (1150) and the bike is used daily except for in heavy snow.

If you're going to spray it on put the can in some warm water first so it will build up pressure and allow the product to come out as a fine mist rather than a gloop :thumb
