Hi all.

For those who took part, some of our comments re the F 800 GS are in this months bio of the Bike.

It was interesting reading the THE LOWDOWN: BMW F800GS (and 650 too)
8 pages with lots of pictures and Pie charts owner feed back, highlights and lowlights with 16 pictures of the F800GS But thought the F650GS was minority mentioned and in a negative light
aparantly out of 77 owners who filled in their online survey sixty were
F800 riders and 17 F650 which must put percentages out of wack!
A good plug for the forum, quotes from forum members and a mention of the webb address
I did not realise that there was rocker cover oil leak and wheel bearings (in some cases) so its something to keep an eye out for!
Also under the I work on them heading a senior BMW dealership technician was quoted as saying: "As for chains, we did see a couple with broken side plates. I think this could have been caused by poor chain adjustment (too tight)"
As to the F650GS It just seemed to concentrate on majority of the problems that people had without a doubt experienced and not the good ones!
for instance under the
I bought one it headed for the F650 "mine had loads of problems" the F800 headed "I rode around the world on mine"
Still I suppose drama makes good reading and watching!
Imagine if we all bought our bikes from reading the magazines alone
In the April addition of Bike the "indispensable new bike guide" they quote the F800GS as having 92 BHP and the F650GS as having 66BHP
Still I like my bike it’s a keeper and on the bright side my cup is half full
