Arai Tour X question...

I'm still using mine. I have fitted a Respro foggy mask which has completely cured the visor fogging that used to happen at the least bit of cold or damp weather. I also wear a Polar Buff which I pull up over my chin. Closed the front vents. No problem.
I got rid of the peak very early on, the vibration was turning my brain to mush. The helmet is supplied with all the bits to swap from peak to no peak so again, no problem.

Thanks for the link Schtum :thumb

I managed to get one whilst out for a blast yesterday and it makes a hell of a difference. I had to cut the "wings" off as I couldn't get the cheek pads to click back in with them tucked behind.

I would say it has cut out the draft by 80% so it's a lot more usable in the sub zero weather. I had to pay £12 though :(

Rode back from Oxford with it fitted and my eyes didn't water even at 100mph

I actually took the GS up to an indicated 110 mph.... on a private road ;) yesterday which is the most Iv'e been on it, very stable and no wobbles :thumb

Oh Charlie, I really want to be like you and Ewein, so I have bought a helmet just like you, I have also got 15 people following me to work, filming my every move.

I also have a bike just like yours, and the dealers said one day you can fore fill your dream and stop work for 3 months and go around the world, but your helmet my get a little cold in the Polar reguions.

Was alchohol involved with this one :nenau or do you have fat finger syndrome like me when i'm on the vino? ;) :D

Use mine all year round with goggles. Winter in Scotland taken care of by using a Buff, up round mouth /nose (you can fit over or under helmet strap) Excellent, much prefer over using my Quantum

Ahh.....do you want me to tell you that you've not fitted it as the maker intended?

The "wings" are supposed to go between the outside of the chinstrap and the inside of the helmet padding.

Various suppliers had 'em at the NI Motorcycle Show last week - I saw several in white on The Visorshop stand (Crossan's), website here. Don't accept the website price - ring Louise and haggle mercilessly eg decline the free extra visor and she'll knock off a few quid ;)

still of an age as to wear open face helmet all year. nanny has not got to me yet

I've just linked to this thread in another one on here, so I've fixed the broken links for the pics...:)
