I'm in the market for a new lid. I quite fancy a flip up lid and was hoping to pick up a System 4 bargain fron Canon's in Chelmsford. Just my luck though - they sold out of sale items in my size. So I started to ponder a System 5 or Schuberth C2. Thing is the Tour X is available over the internet for less than either of these. The style of this lid is different to most out there and I guess in in keeping with the GS / GSA. I don't really need a flip font - it was just the novelty that appealed I guess
.
I like the styling but wonder if its worth the money - is it more than a fashion add on.............??

The crux of the matter is this - what's it like on the motorway (I commute 50+ miles a day on the M25 & 11) and is the lid usable with the peak removed?? (If so can anyone post o pic of it peak-less??)

Are Arai sizes comparable to Shoei?? I take a 59-60in \shoei - anyone had experience of whether an Arai 59-60fits the same??

Thanks

Steve

I dont have a peakless pic of my lid but i can tell ya this............it works ok with or without the peak.......without it looks like a simpson bandit...........ask the shop to take the peak off so you can see for yourself...........if not take it off yourself(only need a 20p coin!!)

good for 90-100 mph on the motorway
Motorways are daft places to do 100 mph, not to mention daft places to ride a bike at all. Besides which, 100 mph on a nice B road is much more fun......;)

Thread Hijack alert:rolleyes:

Got an Adventure and A Tour-X?

Get one of these;)
