Arai Tout-X 2 warranty

Hi Folks.
I am aware that many of the users of this site have Arai Tour-X helmets, myself included.
And to be a bit more specific, I have a Challenge Red Tour-X 2, which has been a comfortable helmet during the 10000 miles that I have travelled with it during the last 22 months.
Today though, I called a local Arai Service Centre, as I am not happy with the rapid deterioration of the helmet lining.
The cheeks pads have frayed to expose the inner sponge and the areas around the lower head is also exposing the sponge lining.

Have any of the Arai owners here had dealings where your helmet needed to be inspected by Arai in veiw of a warranty claim?

A guy who works here had an off wearing an Arai during which he headbutted a fiesta. He wasn't hurt, but was advised to send his helmet away to be checked. They lent him a helmet while it was away, returned it with a new visor, either cleaned or new cheek pads, he can't tell which, and an incident report showing that it was still fit for use. All gratis.

the Arai office in Stoke is very good, they will sort it out for you- they generally need an appointment during the race season as the lads are out all the time
