Probably staying in Bouillon.

Very good - and popular - motorcycling area.

Decent ride outs on Sunday and Monday. Nothing that you could not do on a bicycle or FireBlade.

Numbers: Say a maximum of eight bikes. Pillions welcome. Mostly limited by hotel space.

Will need to get booking, so would be good to hear if there is any interest reasonably soon.

Book your own train tickets, I'll do the hotel and the routes.

Hi Richard,

As you no im off to Bouillon and then Ypres next week for 6 nights :thumb2

I fly back from Majorca on 10th so cant do this trip.

I would be up for something later in the year tho :D

Hi Richard,

Put me down as a possible, just need to double check dates, work and Wife.

Cheers.

David.

Interested but I wouldn't be able to say until closer to the time. I'll keep an eye on here and if there's a spare space at the time I'll see if I can make it.

Excellent, we have the start of a (very select) convoy.

Let me know please if you can each do it.

I am in Stockholm at the moment but will provisionally book some rooms on my return, Friday.

Might be interested. I'd need a single room though, not because I'm a bender but I cannot put up with another boot chucked at my head for snoring.

I might extend the trip to give me a few days further south. Negotiations with a mate in Alsace ongoing. I also need to speak to my special friend from Folkestone to see if he can accommodate on the 9th.

Life would be very lonely without my friends off the internet.

Just found out that I have an interview tomorrow for a job that would be starting during July. If I get the job and the start date is later than the tour, I'll definitely be on it, if it starts before then obviously I won't. Should know in a week or two.

To think I could have beenm on a freeby jaunt to Classic Le Mans!

We are sort of off and rolling.

It's a broad church so far.

Provisional list only:

Wapping (Far from the valleys)

Worthing Welsh (Man of the valleys) - Subject to a letter from his mum or was it wife? - No stranger to the beaker.

Wessie (Something else of the valleys) - Deliverer of good advice in several 'What shall I do, where shall I stay?" threads.

Somewhat worryingly these all start with 'w'.

Mr Magicfingers (Gainful employment not withstanding)

Stonker (Only coming if it's not as nice as Bastogne?)

Would love to do this one again Richard but not sure on the dates at present and wont know until mid June. I can say that based on the last one Richard organised Bouillon is definitely worth a visit and the location is superb for some excellent run outs with some seriously twisty roads!

I've just totted up my Clubcard vouchers and I have enough to cover the cost of a 1 week return (£74 currently). Yippee. C Nash is offering me insurance for £107 inc. Euro breakdown & the A&L free travel insurance has changed the terms to include motorcycles over 125cc. Even more yippee. Just need the euro to crash against the £ as well as the dollar.

So, I will firm my interest to a definite for the Bouillon trip, plus I will bugger off somewhere else for a few more days afterwards. Taking the Route des Cretes to my mates place near Waldighofen in Alsace maybe. Probably head back north then via Ballon d'Alsace for a final night in/near Reims. The mate is quite used to random people from the internet arriving, so if anyone else fancies coming along, I will make enquiries.

Hi Richard,

OK, Wife said no probs as long as the hotel is not too expensive as she is not coming, apparently I am not allowed luxury if I am by myself.

Just making sure that the dates don't clash with anything going on at work but I don't foresee any probs. I will now for certain tomorrow evening.

and as for enjoying a beaker or two.............I have no idea where you got that from:augie

David.

I might see you at the Chunnel, I am heading that way to do the top 20 Alpine passes
