might be a bit small for your group and isn't exactly walking distance into town. Malmedy might make a good base, quite a pleasant town. Ride down the Our valley (German /Lux. border), Aachen, the museum at La Glieze and generally engoy the local roads and countryside. The memorial and museum at Baugnez (Malmedy Massacre) etc.

Where abouts?

There are loads of hotels to chose from. Most of the medium towns will have at least one hotel and large places like Spa, loads.

If you want eight single rooms, some of the very small private hotels may struggle but any of the large chains won't.

Go to viaMichelin, pump a few place names in and BINGO! It's easy.

thanks Roy may be a bit small the guys are real men and won't double up in bedroom "understandable" now it seems like 10 people are going on trip :thumb2

Hotel du Sud in Bastogne is very good. Cheap and cheerful but clean, bike-friendly and two minutes walk from Place McAuliffe. Stayed there on 2007 and was very happy.

Enjoy your trip!

Don't worry.

Our intrepid traveller from the wilds to the edge of Lunnon town has two threads running on the same topic......:beerjug:

We thought he had found one but doubt seems to be creeping in. I suspect it's Novice in yet another change of persona. There again, it seems there are eight of them, so it's probably seven dwarves and Snow White.

.... He's going in October...by when it will probably be lashing it down and dark:eek:

La Porte de France in Bouillon.

Best Western (independent), good prices, great setting, easy access to the whole area.
