Are iPhones quad band?

I've had a look on Apple's site and asked O2.

I can find no info on the web site and the best the guy at O2 could give me was that he 'believed' the phone was quad band.

Can anybody confirm if this is actually the case please?

90% sure they are - If you need quad for US they deffinatley are as thats where they are coming from

Yeah, I sort of assumed that must be the case but jsut wanted to make sure that they didn't for instance have a different spec phone for the European market?

I'm probably worrying over nothing.
