As title says do K1200GT panniers fit the 1150 IF using a stubby exhaust?
As I relaise that the nearside will not have the cutout for the exhaust, however do the rest of the brackets/attachments match?

TIA

I'm fairly certain they will, if the K1200GT is a PRE 2006.......the one with the brick engine....then they are the same as the R1150RT, The POST 2006 with the inline 4 engine will not.

Without committing too much and getting it wrong, I think many of the older (early Y2K) panniers are interchangeable between bikes - my own experience is that my panniers for my 2003 GS fitted onto my 2004 R1100S (yes, the left side exhaust cut out looked odd but still!) and they also fit onto a Hong Kong Police BMW R850RT (2001 model and the newer 2003 model) - and the police panniers would fit onto my GS - I tried them at the BMW maintenance place when the police bike was being serviced after a crash :augie

Good luck!

I think you will find that the pre 2006 K1200GT/RS panniers will not fit the 850/1100/1150 GS's. They have a different fitting rail to the oilheads. The Max BMW online fiches also shows the panniers for the 1100/1150 to have a different part number to the K1200GT/RS panniers.

....then they are the same as the R1150RT,

Only one RT pannier fits on a GS ( can't remember at the moment if it's left or right), and it's nothing to do with exhaust cut outs, it's got different mounting points

Seems I stand corrected!

Thanks lads, hate to give misleading information.

panniers

Thx guys, looks like its not an option, will concentrate on 1150 oil head specific panniers!
