Stuck in SE Asia.....Thank you Covid 19
I am getting a note saying that disk space on C-drive is low and sue enough t has only 170MB free which is suprising as a few weeks ago it had about 4 GB free.

Anyway the only 2 large files I can see at the moment that apear new are Hyberfil and Pagefile. Both are indicated as system files and both in the C- root directory. These are 261MB and 393MB big respectively... What are they for and should they be there - I don't recall seeing them before.

Finally is there an easy program showing the size of directorys and everything in them. I used to have one a few years ago whose name scapes me but it was really handy.

Thanks in advance.

pagefile is for VM, and necessary. Hiberfil is where it stores your machine state when you hibernate. Google the latter for advice.

Have you run a disc check? Had the same on my external disc and that sorted it. Think it was just throwing a wobbly as I have had no problems since.

Assuming that all your anti malware stuff is up to date, functional and been run regularly, then defrag the drive, do a disk cleanup and see what difference that makes.

Thanks Guys - I installed the NOD32 reccomended on here and 2 files infected so delated. I'll do a search on Pagefile before I delete it and then do a defrag before bed tonight;)

thanks again
