Never had this one before but having my Bike recovered to Mill on Tues (after Sun's off) I still hav'nt heard from them as regards repair estimate. Despite phoning them several times.
Perhaps I'm too impatient?

Happened to me

Not sure how bad you bike was, but when mine went into Wollastons, it took a while as all the BWm parts are individual.

My quote equated to £6500.00 in repairs, of that £3000 where parts. Bike written off obviously.

Your bike wasn't that bad right? Handbars and rocker cover?

Might be better doing it yourself.

You should be grateful they are taking a long time.
Had a BMW once, took a big hit. Dealer did the estimate within hours, fixed it up, I got it back.
It never handled properly again, ate clutches every 4000 miles (warped plates, not worn) - trying to prove the damage was caused in the accident, and not subsequently, when an 'authorised agent' has done an assessment and repair, well, it aint funny.
Ask the Sanguine....Me, I just accepted that I had to trade it in to the same dealer (couldn't bring myself to sell it to anyone else) and cop the loss....

Interesting - how did the clutch plates / flywheel / pressure plate get damaged in an accident ?

That'd be some accident !

I changed Career and no longer work in Motor Vehicle Repair:rolleyes:
You want Frame checked (VFR Site info) Give them time to do job properly & think about Logistics, Fully booked Workshop etc.

Hope you are recovering quickly & hope to get you out for a run with us again.

No idea, I am not a mechanic. But prior to the hit (which knocked me and the bike a couple of metres sideways) it had had one clutch replacement (48k) in 53k miles. Next one at 56k, next one at 60k. All warped, not worn.
