Doncha just love technology? :banghead: There's got to be somebody out there who knows the answer. I've already asked my 12 yr old, and he's stumped as well. :D

I have a Motorola SLVR L7 mobile phone and have succesfully downloaded MP3 music files to a 256Mb Transflash card. So far so good. :thumb2

As usual you can't get enough memory and have bought a 2Gb Sandisk memory card from e-bay which was advertised as suitable for the L7 but even though they look identical the 2Gb card is marked "Micro SD". Sadly though I don't think it is compatible - but I am a computer numpty, so before I say too much the problem could be human error. :o

I have downlaoded loads of MP3 tunes to it but when I put the memory card in the phone I just get a message saying "Storage device unreadable. Format now? Yes / No." I know the tunes and files are on the card as I can play them from the card when its put in the computer, but when I put the same card in the mobile and check the "View Free Space" on the mobile it just says 0Kb for Free space Used space and Total ie it's as if the mobile just can't read the card. :nenau

Do I need to change the Micro SD card for a Transflash card or is there an easy way to sort this out at home? :nenau

Thanks Banjaxed - you're a star. :clap

Did a bit more reasearch on that site you recommended (now saved to favourites) and apparently the SLVR L7 has a MicroSD (TransFlash) expansion card slot for up to 1GB removable storage". :blast

Still - 1GB will keep me quiet for a while. :thumb2
