Arghh.. a ridiculous 2610 question.

I've been spoilt with the 550, but was fiddling (in a non-Savile way) with my 2610 intending to use it as a back up ...

So, can I load a route from Expert GPS to the card? Can I fook! I've saved the route, and it shows on the CF card when I explore it in Windoze, but when I put the card in to the 2610 it doesn't 'see' the route! @rse!! The route file is stored in the Garmin folder of the CF card as a GPX file...

Am I doing something cataclysmically stupid...?

Doesn't the 2610 store maps on the CF card but stores routes in the unit's internal memory....?

I was thinking ... A USB port would be bl00dy useful, then I found the fooker hiding under a little rubber cover ... I'm sure the little bu gger was laughing and sniggering as I cursed ..

The 2610 can do most things! No probem loading .gpx files They work just fine.
