As I was walking past St Paul's ...

I spent some time working with a firm of corporate solicitors whose address was 1 St Paul's Churchyard. Nice address, and very swanky it was too. Lovely views over the cathedral.
They had a bloke there who was effectively a butler, although I doubt that was his official title! A lot of the time we spent there was out of office hours for reasons of confidentiality. This bloke - who was always on duty - knocked up bacon sandwiches, made travel arrangements for anyone, even sorted out dry cleaning collection and delivery.

I never saw the bills, but I'm sure the bank paid handsomely for the legal expertise and the associated services!

It’s how the City should be. The killing off of the tea lady and her trolly was the end of civilisation.

Last job was in One New Change, a couple of years ago someone jumped off the top where the restuarant is and a work colleague walked out of the offce to witness the aftermath.

It was shut for ages and now has extra barriers and security guards to stop people jumping over them and making a run for the edge.
