As new ( 200 miles ) silver GS1200 for sale in Marriotts, Wirral.
Never enquired re the price ( I was only in there getting airhead MOT'd) but he said it was a VERY competetive price ( then again they all say that ).

Bike is simply as new.

just called about it , they are after £7800 for it , they'r not sure of the spec thought , all he was sure of was abs and heated grips.

Can you shed any more light on its spec from seeing it first hand.

Given it's only done 200 miles , when will it need it's first service , what would that cost ?

I'd say that's not a bad price, must be at least £1200 off the cost of new, my first service cost me £90.

They have just sent me some photos and they said the price they gave me earlier was wrong , it's now 7995 , no offers as they have had so much intrest !

I feel 8k is a bit much for a year old bike even if it has only got 200 miles on it , what do you guys think , also its not a BMW main dealer .

Please be gentle if i'm wrong , just i don't want to get it wrong , 8k buys a new ktm 990 , ( if i'm allowed to mention that on here).

Have to say I think it is a bit steep unless they are giving you a strong price on your part ex.
After all if it is a year old thats half the warranty gone regardless of its mileage

Just my 2p worth though.
It'll probably sell tomorrow now i've said that.

No px 8k was their cash price , and i was a case of take it or leave it as they have had loads of calls.

They told me previous owner had chped it in for a r6, anyone know different ?

I've seen it, it's a mint bike. Apparently the owner traded the GS and a Ducati against a new R6. Maybe he/she was tired of rattles

Brought a lump to my throat, I'm glad I don't have 8k lying around in a way! But I'd just break it.

Ignore the salesman...they said that about my new ZX12r I bought from them three months ago....left it a week and got an excellant deal

Thats exacly what i was thinking give it a week and see if it's still there , and try again .
