Wanted Asking for a friend.

A friend of mine has 2024 1250 R/S and has just taken delivery of a V47 Top Box from GIVI and was also supplied with an SRA5117 base plate adapter.
The problem is this adapter plate doesn’t fit the rack on the R/S which has four bolt holes whereas the adapter plate requires facility for six bolts.
Could anybody advise how to adapt the GIVI V47 top box to this particular bike and what adapter plate, if there’s any available, should he use.

If I remember correctly you have to remove the insert in the middle of the rack.
It's been a long while since I did mine.

You do need to remove the upper plastic filler piece from the original rack to fit the plate.

yes, remove the infill plate in the centre of the OE rack to expose the other holes

the online instructions do not show this stage
