A good friend of mine in his 70’s is having a knee replacement and will be giving up biking . He would like to sell his 2012 Kawasaki 1000 Versys, I suggested I post here for him. Details as follows.
-29,000 miles with part service history
- nearly 12 months MOT remaining
-heated grips and engine bars
-LED spots and cruise control
-Black Widow exhaust can
-Givi luggage as pictured with 2 sets of keys for them and the bike

While I’ve not seen this bikes I will say that all of Trevor’s bikes I’ve seen and I’ve seen most of them have always been in top notch condition. The bike is presently located in Newcastle Upon Tyne but happy to ride it down to Newark in Nottinghamshire for the cost of a one way train ticket as he is a good chum of mine. If interested please contact me with pm on UKGsers and I’ll pass on Trevor’s cell number.
£2250.00, not interested in offers thanks.

I had one of these, it was an absolutely cracking bike, rode it all over Europe and Scandinavia and it never missed a beat. I know some people and most of the media said it was ugly, I never thought so, it kind of reminded me of Kryton from Red Dwarf, but I digress. These are brilliant bikes and they are bullet-proof, this one looks like a bargain to me, GLWTS

It’s actually the price of two mid 60’s BSA Bantams………your right very cheap! Trevor tells me it’s the best adventure touring and straight touring bike he has ever owned and he has been riding since his mid 20’s till now. He tells me the bike is in very good condition and I’m sure he would happily supply any close up picture that perspective buyers might request

Cross Europe in comfort and at pace for £2250!
Sort of bike I'd try just for trying at that price...👍You could keep for a year or two, double the mileage, clean occasionally and still lose less than 50%... Try that on your £25-30k new RT...😆👍

The styling might be a tad marmite, but they are surprisingly competent as a tall-rounder; the engine is an absolute peach.

Handling is pretty good - the front can get a tad flighty 2-up with luggage, which needs care on say mountain hairpins. The OE pipe was a design horror, so no surprise this one has been changed - OK, as long as it's not too loud when touring (much of EU is now moving to 95dB max)

I think if I put on an advert that I was not interested in offers ......... and someone sent me one , I just would probably ignore it . But that's just me !

have done a few euro tours 2 up on a gen 2 2017 model, your right about the handling being a bit flighty 2up fully loaded, but dropping the forks through the yokes a few mm helps a lot, this and fitting a nitron rear shock cured most of it,
the silencer on these dont make much diffrence to sound, the silencing is all done in the cat, try taking the silencer off altogether and the noise level hardly changes
GLWS , this is a great bargain
