Asking for help - plastic bag melted on the exhuast

Dear Friends
While riding a black plastic bag found its way to the heated exhaust next to the engine head, and melted.
Has any one good advice how can i remove it?

Same thing happened to my car once. Stunk for ages. I however have no ideas on removing the bag. The wife says try a hairdryer or a heat gun and scraper. You never know. :nenau
