276C with 256 automotive kit £534 delivered free by Fedex, I got 1.41 Euros to the pound including the foreign transaction charges on the credit card without that it would have been 1.45 to the pound which is the commercial exchange rate.
I reckon thats a good deal.
Jim,
When something looks too good to be true it usually turns out to be so. It would be better if your postings had been more transparent.
You appear to have failed to mention that that price does not include VAT. The prices on their website, excluding VAT, add upto £524 using their unreliable exchange rate as witnessed by your £534. That would be £634 if you had paid their rate of 19% VAT.
I assume that you are buying for business use and reclaiming or not paying the VAT legitimately by giving Aspidshop your UK VAT registration.
It would be unfair to use your prices for comparison as only by using a business illegally to avoid paying VAT on an item for personal use, or arranging with Aspidshop not to charge VAT and avoid paying it that way, could anyone not in your position otherwise avoid paying VAT.
Aspidshop would certainly include such sales on their VAT return as being supplied to the UK VAT free. That information is shared between member States in the EU. A mechanism exists for legitimate supply between member States VAT free, a part of which enables anyone to check validity of VAT registration on line.
Customs and Excise have powers that make those of the Inland Revenue look like tiddlywinks enforcement so no one should be encouraged to offend.
