I have been contacted by someone regarding their friend who is dying of Cancer.

The lady with Cancer has been discussing bikes etc and things she wants to do before she passes away.

She would like to go for one last bike ride. Her friend only has a 125cc, and the lady is not strong enough to hold on and be a pillion.

Ideally what is required is a TRIKE or a large Harley/Similar with comfortable arm/back rests.

The lady lives in Inverness, and the planned route would only be about 20 miles in length.

If anyone is able to offer assistance this would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me by PM.

There are a few of us who will come along as "outriders" and help make one of her final wishes come true.

So if you know of anyone who may be able to help, please get in touch as soon as possible (for obvious reasons).

Thank you in advance

Sam

Would it be worth sticking this in B&B or is the Scottish section well looked at?

You may also want to contact the Royal British Legion Riders Scottish branch.

The local HOG Chapter should also be receptive.

I have done things like this in the past, and it is very humbling.

It is always even more magical when there are a large number of bikes.

I'll get more information

I'll find out more as to whether the lady wants a "Fuss", or just a "Quiet Ride".

Will be back with more info as soon as I have it.

Brilliant Forum and brilliant people here :thumb

I would happily run up to Inverness if she can't get a trike? Bit friskier on an RT though, better experince too!

All the very best....what a wonderful ride out that would be.....:bow

Like a scene in some sicky American film......she starts out on the back of one solitary bike then as it goes past each turning, more and more join up in convoy :D

Sam.....an somewhat indelicate question here, but is there a timescale on this? A winter ride could be shitty, but a spring ride a different ballgame.

Mind you, bundled up in heated clothing on a fine day, she should be fine whatever :thumb2
