Hi guys,

You lot being the font of all knowledge regarding GS's, tell me if I've got a good deal?

Bike is:

1999 Import GS1100 (imported by B*W)
registered in UK on a T plate.

Black, red lettering.
Handguards
Heated Grips
Pannier rails
32,000
3 owners (all from local area)
Very good original condition.
Years MOT
Service history.

Sold with 6 months warranty from non B*W dealer to me for £4,000 exactly.

They're a reputable dealer who have had the bike in before as a part ex and sold it to the guy who is now trading it in fr something else coz it's too heavy for him. I reckon it's a good deal.

Waddya reckon  ;)

Sorry Muppet, but the most important quesion is: do you think that its a good deal? Is it in your price bracket? Has it got the extras that you want?
Otherwise, having been like you, and just picked mine up on Saturday - since when its been inclement enough and salty enough to prevent riding - I think that its an okay deal. But what do I know, I'm just an amateur in comparison to all on here!

A steal !!

I reckon its a steal for that price. I paid stg 3500 about 4 months ago for a 1994 1100GS with 53K miles. It is immaculate though and came with Ohlins fitted plus panniers, ABS, heated grips, spare screens etc and a very comprehensive package of service history and receipts.

Go for it.

Just been offered 5K write off value for my '99 T reg 1100, 45,000miles, ABS etc. (no longer exactly 'original condition'!)

Sounds like either you, I or both have got a good deal?

Iain

That seems a good write-off value, Iain: I am encouraged!

Still waiting for Carole Nash to make me an offer...

Mmmm, yes.

Once I have the cheque in my hands (or bank) you can use my valuation as justification for yours if necessary ;)

Ok, I take it that's a yes then:confused:

Well, I've put a deposit on it, pick it up around the middle of Feb, I'll post pics when I do, although it looks like any other 1100GS. Oh, in the best colour........Black, of course:D

Guess I'd better get me wallet out and become a sponsor now, in gratitude to the BHT's stirling efforts.

Hope to meet up with some of you guys soon.......I'm not far from the Bakerman, but I'm not sure if it's a good odea for him to be my first GS club encounter!

Muppet,

Sounds like a good deal, The last 1100s are the best because they are well sorted and to top it all it will be faster than the others because it's black and it's not a 'Tarts Handbag' 1150.

Just a pity you're a southen softie :D

1100 GS

If anyone else is looking for a showroom condition 1100 GS I've just found one in B.S Bikes in Sandyford Stoke-On-Trent, tel: 01782 813 866. I'ts red, abs, heated grips, engine bars, full service history with 8500 miles on the clock, never seen rain. I dont think it will be there for long. He wants 4800.00 for cash, I hope this is of interest to someone. Daz.
