Got one ('06 1200 GS) on Friday. Many thanks to MCN and one careful owner near Chester.Didn't test ride before I brought it and to be honest I dont think it would have made much difference. I now covered almost 100 miles just pootling around near home between work and all those jobs that suddenly seemed to need doing around the home that the wife has just discovered.
Took the long way round to work yesterday 45 miles instead of the normal 7. I love the riding position, the low down power, huge torque. Bit dissappointed with buffetting above 70mph (having come from a Pan European) and I've discovered a slight oil leak from the RH cylinder head cover seal - but no big deal.
Kids off to Uni this week so hopefully more time to play out next week!! just in time for the cold, dark and wet Scottish winter
