i have a box of bits that i wish to fit to my 1200gsa ‘10

inc:
centech fuse box
autocom
tracker - still to choose which one
airhorn

probably easy enough for some of you as my tech ability that is stretched to changing plugs. i could take bike to garage to have it all fitted, learn nothing and get done badly

or consult one of you gsers who might do this for a day job / have the expertise / would do better job / teach us how its done and i pay someone in the community instead

so if you:

…have said skill / have successfully fitted such devises
…could be available to do so on a weekend so i can watch and learn
…would be happy to do the job in your driveway / yard / garage / pavement
…live within 200miles of london (any excuse for me to get out of the big smoke)
…can take payment in cash & beer coupons

please get in touch / reply to this post / send private message (your anonymity protected if that’s important)

i will document the procedures and post pics here so the rest of you tossers to comment on everything and including 'i wouldn’t do it like that'... & ‘why would you want to put all that crap on your bike anyway…’

thanks in advance

I'm not particularly skilled at this and can't come to help you, but...

I've fitted loads of stuff like that on mine and at was fairly straightforward. Some suggestions:

1 - go to this site http://www.r1200gs.info/index.htmlm click on the 'how to' section and learn how relays work and how to wire them in. It's truly easy and if I can do it, so could a seven-year-old

2 - buy some decent connectors and shrink tubing

3 - start with the centech and add the other bits and bobs afterwards

Good luck! :thumb2

dvd

There is some company in the US that does a dvd with most of those tasks on it...there is a link on motorcycle info. I will dig it out if you let me know.
