Hi
I have the sat nav prep on my 2014 1200gslc, but not ready to make the big purchase of the bmw nav v integrated sat av.

So in the meantime I wondered if anyone had successfully connected an old tomtom 510, 710 or 910. I have a 710 which is sitting around gathering dust so if I could make use of it I would be well chuffed.

I can see various bits of kit, but not entirely sure of what I would need and where to attach it on the GS.

Any advice gratefully received.

Vinnebug, met up with a guy at last years' HUBB meet. He also had an LC. He had done a cool thing. Got a standard soft cover for his tomtom and velcro'ed that to the sat nav holder. The power was from the socket on the dash. I thought that was a cool thing to do. He said that he was using the same sat nav in his car and on his bike. He just removed it from the cover on the bike and put it into the sat nav holder in the car.

Try that out. It will work very well.

Cheers,
K

Thx , though my old 710 is a big old thing, not flat at the back so probably predates the one you saw. I like the idea but don't think it will work with my 710. I'm looking into RAM mounts at the moment which use u bolt around the handle bar and various other attachments.
