Attempt made on my bike just before six o'clock.

There was an attempt made on my bike this morning at 05:55. The dog woke me thank god. Three scum bags at least. They ran when she started going ballistic.

Bought anti burglar paint and covered the top of the side wall that they had gotten up on with it so fingers crossed that will prevent them coming over it again.

Only have the bike fixed up A few weeks. Would hate for th fuckers to get it.
 
What is the anti burgler paint is it extra sticky or how does it work
Glad your bike is safe seems to be a lot of bikes being robbed lately
 
It's black none drying thick paint. Very similar in texture to grease but doesn't wash off.

The only reason they would have climbed the wall at the side would have been to take the bike. That's what the attempt was. A local bike thief saw me putting it in the other day and the minute I saw him and the way he was looking at it I knew they'd show up. As I didn't see him that morning I cann't say for sure it was him, but bit of a coincident. The bike hadn't been out much since I got it but now I have it out every day.

They got on top of an eight foot + wall. Three sets of climb scuffs.

Only reason I beleave they didn't drop down and try future was the dog made such a racket.

Not that easy when u have to live among them I'm afraid.

I'll just do everything in my power to stop it from been lifted and after that it's insured.
 
Ground anchor through the floor so at least they have to make a noise to get at it away. Try and fasten the frame to the ground anchor too.

Top the wall off with anti bird spikes as well as broken glass. The bird spikes may be a bit bendy, but they are obvious, otherwise look up the following from screwfix...

When my Dad used to do industrial painting, he had to occasionally paint that god awful anti vandal paint, and it had to be applied at a minimum height of 6 feet so that 'accidental' contact must be avoided.

Personnally, I'd paint the broken glass with rat poision as theiving scumbags don't deserve to get away with it :mad:
 
There are legal differences in the Republic compared to the UK, but from what I can tell there is a slightly lower duty of care to trespassing scrotes. You might want to check out this link (http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showthread.php?t=148867) which covers a few of the issues.

Apart from that, put up some trellis, it's noisy to knock down and really difficult to climb over without collapsing it and doing yourself some damage. It also doesn't 'count' as far as legal heights of boundaries are concerned.
 
What about ten of us wait in your back yard with bats and beat the fuckers inside out :D if they do get your bike i hope they kill themselves ,cnuts
