The motorcycle was fitted with a ROADLOK and fortunately the theft attempt was unsuccessful.

Incidents like this are a reminder that no security device is a guarantee, but adding time, noise and inconvenience can make a bike a less attractive target.

What security setup are you currently using?

What it does show, is just how easy a steering lock is to break off (but presuably leaving bits of bust metal somewhere in the mechanism) The feckers need beating to within an inch of their lives....and then another 3cm more

Probably best not to use it and save the cost of repair and damage.

Everyone would love to go all Rambo on the thieves and in every other country in the world they would get thanked for it BUT in the current political and social climate in the UK you would get zero support from the Police and would become the aggressor and be prosecuted.

Talking to an ex colleague who is still in the job and he was saying off duty he saw a dozy old fart (76yrs old female ) reverse out of a parking bay into the side of a brand new car parked up behind her causing significant damage to it, she got out of her car looked at the damage to her car and then tried to drive away .

He intervened and identified himself as a Police Officer telling her she was not leaving the scene of the accident until either the owner of the other car arrived or Police arrived on the scene , cops arrive and get her details then she later puts in a complaint against my mate because he had the nerve to stop her and speak to her , saying she felt intimidated and threatened , mate not that bothered because he got other witnesses details and the CCTV from the shop where the incident happened .

Still the job was more than willing to take the complaint rather than telling her to F*ck Off , he found out from the owner of the car that was hit that she had caused £6000 plus in damage , that her insurance wanted it to be dealt with as knock for knock (told to FRO )and that the Police were not going to take any further action as she was so dreadfully upset by the whole incident .

FFS what chance do you think you would have if you lamped some little tw*t armed with a crowbar stealing at £20,000 plus motorcycle .

What really pisses me off is the utter contempt the little **** shows when he realises the game is up and simply dumps the bike on it`s side. Then gives the finger to onlookers.
That could have been someone’s pride and joy which they`ve treated with utter disdain.
Sickening.

Karma will catch up with these fucking wankers

Push the other fecker off his bike. Everytime he gets or tries to get back on, push him off again. The other scrote will stop trying to nick the bike as he no longer has his mate ready to push the stolen bike away using his foot on the footrest. They get very easily confused and tend not to hung around if someone offers resistance

And the passers by do fork all... I'd have challenged the little scrotes, they only look about 12. All the while there is no punishment or deterent in the country this will sadly never stop. What a 3rd world sh*thole the UK is becoming.
The problem with that... is that they probably have a knife... and won't be afraid to use it. I might have had a go if I'd had some sort of training, CS spray and a stab vest ! But even then, I suspect the courts would take a very dim view of me, a 'normal' citizen, having a go whilst being fully prepared... just sayin'

Steptoe has it; all they want is to get away; with e bike cnut picking his arse of the the floor a couple of times and no chance of running off with th prize they'll soon fuck off; always go for the getaway cnut.

Makes me angry just watching that, someones bike just dropped on its side, seeing people walk past and the little dickheads have no respect, at some stage someone will beat the life out of them, i do hope so.

Were they injured enough to curtail their life of crime;
Not sure it was quite prophetic that bikes mother posted on facebook about the theft ftom Ashington overnight asking people to keep an eye out for the bike and then later simply posted it had been found. No gloating or mentioning the fatal just that it had been found.

Local to us a teenager was killed a couple of days ago after the three up stolen motorcycle he was riding hit a bus stop , other two were injured .

Similar tale, an anaesthetist my wife works with came to the aid of a young crashed motorcyclist in the road outside his house, kid was probably only about 17 or so.
Used his own personal defib unit and kept the kid alive, helped the ambulance crew intubate him on attending and then get him to hospital.

Kid later died due to the extent of his internal injuries, turned out he was riding a stolen motorcycle.

Local paper made the kid out to be a likeable chap and future pillar of society (aren't they all ?)

A mate of mine's parents were woken by the police one morning to be told their son( carl) was dead in a motorcycle accident only for him to walk downstairs to speak to them himself;; his new RD 350 had been nicked from his back garden and the twat had smashed it up near Manchster. I don't know if the procedure could still be the same; this was back in the seventies.
