Attendees

This one:

Crossing via the tunnel, happy to meet up Thursday morning at the tunnel if that is what you are doing (will check what time my train is) or meet at some point on the way if that is why you are asking.
[edit] Not booked camping site on the way down yet so happy to change my plans.
I'm on the overnight ferry from Pompy, and then going to be a toll slave all the way

We are on the overnight on Wednesday so we will have a gentle 2 day bimble down to Sids.

I have been informed by my passenger that this isn't a "lets see how far we can get in a day" kind of trip!! :)

Sid! I cant be there until Friday PM (11th). Just got an RDV from the cock doctor for the morning of the 11th, at 10:30 in Niort, so I will leave directly after that.
Probably looking at arriving around 4pm.

Hi Sid, we haven’t met but I’ve been following your thread with great interest and would love to come down and visit, although I can only make Friday evening/Saturday/Sunday Morning (I’m heading for madone des motards on Monday).

If that’s ok, do you have room for a small tent? It’ll just be me (billynomates) but I’m reasonably housetrained and happy to muck in and help with anything

Anyone got a good route down from Caen?

I know Alaska like the back of my hand but not so up to date with our French neighbours.

We'll be taking 2 days down and 2 days back and madam has requested back roads and small towns.

We did that recently. It is 495 miles from Caen to our house. Take autoroute south from Bordeaux and take exit signed fo r Villeneuvre sur Lot. About one hour due East from motorway.

Sid, I’m on the Thursday morning Chunnel, so I am thinking I might zoom down for Thursday night, Day trip to Oradure on Friday, day trip to Pyrenees on Saturday and then leave Sunday for a bimble back for the Chunnel crossing early afternoon on Monday.

I’ll be at yours for Thursday, Friday and Saturday if that’s ok 👍

This is nearby to, got to be a photo opportunity 😂😂😂

Yeah, I thought of doing leisurely and then thought nah, get down there and get some good rides in 😂

OK, thanks for all your replies.
Don't worry if you want to come but are not on the list, you are still very welcome. It was just to get a rough idea of numbers and approx day of arrival. I'm not going to update it every time Flipfly changes his mind about when he's getting here. :)
The emphasis is really on the "Chill Out" part.
A few other updates:
Cats. We have 8 or 9 cats (I lose count) who love visitors. If you love cats, great. If you are not a cat fan, they will know and try to convert you.
Fishing. A friend visited this week and fished from our garden. One night he landed a 16lb common carp followed by a 31lb the next night. I have numerous rods if anyone wants to fish for anything in the lake.
Kayak. I have a kayak which can be used on the lake. We could have some races if anyone is energetic enough?
Road ride out. There are some amazing little ancient villages all around on hill tops offering amazing views. I suggest a ride out on the Sunday morning for two hours. My good friend Rob can lead this on his GS1200 as he knows the roads and is an awesome rider. He has ridden TT, Daytona and at circuits all over the world.
Off road? There are lots of easy off roadvtrails near us which are easily managed on a GS if anyone fancies that.
Trials riding. I have an old Aprilia txr240 just fully restored. I can set up some easy sections for anyone to have a go.

Breakfasts. We can provide traditional French breakfasts of a croissant, but Sumprat will also provide Full English if required.
Looking forward to this event but very busy preparing the place.
There will be lots of jobs on Thursday and Friday but just Chilling on Saturday and Sunday.

Me too very much looking forward to this, and, keen to help out Thurs/Fri and assist Sumprat or wash dishes etc. over the weekend.
Karl.
