Audible "warning" beep.

Have you opened the fart flap in your twat suit ?? If not it could be flatulance escaping from the tight wrist or ankle fastenings.

This thread is useless without a recording !!! :D

Mine sometimes sounds like 'this' after the ignition is turned on and the flap has done it's open , close, open cycle.
Do not hear it after the engine is started though and it does not happen everytime.
Flap is not sticking and cables seem free enough.

Thats it!

Same sound and same symptoms. Does not happen all the time.

That said - when I started this thread I was hearing the same continuous sound for about 5 seconds when riding the bike.

Well pleased that I am not imagining it..:D

I am trying to record it myself but since trying it had not done it! :nenau Sods Law!

Thanks for your help guys. Will record and put it in front of BMW engineer for an "Expert" explanation and let you know the outcome. :JB

My bike makes exactly the same noise, but it goes away when I put my earplugs in:D. I just ride it if anything goes wrong thats why we paid over the odds for BMW assist

Beep Beep

I'll bet it's the alarm, remove the thing before it lets you down somwhere.

I'll bet it's the alarm, remove the thing before it lets you down somwhere.

Alarm is under the silver plastic cover under the rear seat.
This is the stepper motor, near the left footrest, for the exhaust flap and when it happens on my bike, it logs a fault code.:flag

Mine does that too occasionally, toggling the kill switch on and off fixes it though - definitely originates from the exhaust flap thingy...

i experienced that beep once, after filling her up with petrol, possibly the obc performing a 'range' calculation...? never heard her beep again...
