I can't think any other motorcycle stuff on which I have wasted so much time and money as my years-long search for half-decent audio in a bike helmet.
Fitting decent quality speakers in the helmet turned out to be a waste of time - the position of the speakers is so critical, that even a small adjustment of the helmet on my head spoiled everything, even a FiiO amp didn't improve it sufficiently
My latest attempt was a set of tasty Klipsch Image S4 earphones and some custom earbuds made by ACS.
All was good, up until the point I tried to put the helmet on - no way, the ACS earbuds put the earphones too far out to get the helmet over it
Thought this might stop some other innocents splashing out on this route (especially as ACS advertise the the custome earbuds for use on bike).
Be interested to hear if anyone has solved this and got decent audio in their helmet
