Anyone living in Oz, that uses this forum regularly? I'm planning some long rides out of Sydney this year, as the heat, and rain backs off.

Yep. I'm áround'. Living in Perth at the moment, but moving to the Gippsland soonish.
Boot.

Hello All,
I've just arrived from the UK, I had been a long time lurker on this forum. I was the castodian an R100RS back in England and could not justify changing to a GS.

I now call Sydney home and I'm in the market for a bike (really feel the need to get back on two wheels). Probably another Airhead, gspd or G/S PD ideally; I could be tempted by a twin shock RS or R1100GS.

Anyone know of any bikes on the market?

See you on the road soon.

Bendy

Hi Kaister,
A very nice bike you have there - low km's too, you need to get out more! I think I'll hold out a bit longer and hope an airhead comes to market. I'm sure your R1100 won't be around for long.

Thanks,

Bendy.

Too late, mate

sold it Friday night for the full asking price with 2 more people disappointed due to see it on Saturday.

Well I was right. Didn't last long! Congratulations on the sale - Commiserations for loosing the bike. I trust you will be 'investing' the money in another bike.

Any R100/R80's out there?

Bendy

Up in sunny (ha!) Mackay in Queensland. Just back from a tour around Tassie with the BMW Safari crew. If you are ever thinking of coming this way I'll show you the sights.

in cairns , I have to ask where your name comes from (mine of course is Danish) been here 21 years now

well , you could head on to Aus advridersection - but they are SO humour free its untrue.

and theres a clique :mmmm

Here in Ireland but did tour OZ on a 800GS in January. Sydney to Perth.
Nothing to worry about great country great people easy riding.
Absolutly no speeding unless you are away from civilisation.
In 6600km i hardly spotted another bike very rare on the road, lots of big bike shops but i dont think a lot of people commute on bikes.
Crossing the Nullarbor was the high point of the trip, not to be missed.
The Vic Alpine country is stunning and like the alps.
Weather watch every day is important.
I would want to do 10,000km + next trip PG.
