Bikestop in stevenage are doing a 1/2 price sale on all autocom gear, that means a avi pro is now £117.

Don't know if anyone else is doing this, but last time I saw this autocom was bringing out new models.

Autocom are now shipping their Pro-Avi out of the factory with the power to Aux1 socket enabled. Previously this was a retro-fit using jumper leads on the PCB.
If I understand right this will change what items can be plugged into which sockets and with which cables.
The minefield extends..... I shall be talking to them at the NEC.

I just happened to nip in to clarks motorcycles today on way home and i asked the parts man there and he said that they are doing this offer but waiting for stock shouls be next week he hopes. :clap

Well the offer was due to start from wednesday next week as we have got an ad in MCN and the show coming up. So yeh there is a huge sale on but thats all I will say on this matter

I really love my job and I do not want to lose it so I am not got going to say a thing on the new products. As for the sale again I would of lost my job if I had come on here and shouted about it before the sale had actually started. But good try though.

Also for reopening the idea thread I do kind of think you have been very harsh on this as I can not reply on the thread so I will kind of hijack this thread I guess!

You are not listening to what I am saying AGAIN NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO RUN GPS OR RADAR DETECTORS so again WHY SHOULD WE ADD THE EXTRA PARTS. This is so far far from being a sting so I would choose your words very carefully.

One thing I bet you have never thought about is how our parts are designed i.e different parts for users wanting a GPS or a phone or a GPS and radar detector dectector....or a Garmin Zumo interface lead over a TomTom Rider lead for example. Each part is different internally due to the connections so it is far from simple to add the isolation parts onto our boards.

So would you like us to sell a system purely for Zumo users costing X amount. MMMMM what does the customer do when they want to change their GPS....MMMMMM Ive got to but another new Autocom! So with the range of parts we sell currently the customer can run their basic system and change their leads as and when they change their GPS not the whole system.

Has this sunk in to why we sell our leads as spares and not containing the isolation parts internally?

So as Terayon closed the other thread can we call it a day on this topic please or if you still want to talk about the issues talk away from this forum and email me at work please. Not everyone is having the same issues as you with our systems and do not want to scroll through pages and pages of your problems or ideas when I have given you perfect examples to why we can produce our systems to how you would like to see them.

This is all I am going to say now as I think everyone can see where we as Autocom or I am coming from.

It would have been good advertising for them on both fronts.. the new and the half price old stuff.

But as you say it's your Job:)

I will only be there at the weekends mate as I am holding the fort back in the office during the week for customer appointments and also phone calls etc. But yeh if you are going on one of the weekends pop over and see us
