Evening all.Has anyone used an autocom air with any success? cant find anything any where about them, or that autocom atom .

Yeah, I bought one, seems like a good piece of kit and does what it says on the box. Paired with my Zumo 340 with no probs and also my iPhone for music etc. Nice and clear Bluetooth reception, in fact I had to turn down the volume as even at (legal) motorway limits it was too loud.

One slight problem was that the right earpiece cable was about an inch too short to run under the headliner in my (XL) helmet, but a minute or two with a soldering iron and a recycled cable from an old pair of earphones did the trick.

Didn't fit the microphone though 'cos i won't need to use it on my upcoming European adventure

I have one of these ,hi quality sound and music but picks up all the wind noise in the world i use a shoei neotec and the other half uses a schuberth c3.
Sam at chain speed seems to think we have an over sensitive mic so were out and about this weekend trying all his recomendations.

its not actually an auto com item ! its imported by them, stickered over and packed up in an auto com box .

i found it "ok" but it drops the connection quite frequently .

did you have any wind noise problem with it? and i didn't know wasn't an autocom product.
any ideas on a better blue tooth system.
I lke the quality and the fact it quite cleare even at silly speeds.

I went from the Air to a sena the connection was fast and on every time . On some blue tooth products they state which headsets will work with them ,the Air has not shown on any list yet .I connected it to the Nav 5 .it connected and worked after the initial set up , but quite frequently dropped the signal. wind noise was not an issue as it was tucked into the lining of the helmet at the rear. but this had its issues because when the signal dropped you had to take your lid of to reconnect. There is a black on off button that sticks to the outside off your lid, but once the stickiness goes it won't stick again !

Quality wise it was ok . I spoke with Sam at chain speed about them and it was him that told me it was not an Autocom product they are just selling it under the name after importing it .

It has its pros and cons ..5 out of 10 for overall marking

is the sena a better product do you think if so how is it at speed.
when i say wind noise i get it through one of the mics constant roaring wind noise and we ride a 1200rt so its pretty quiet .
Overall im very disappointed with my first foray in to bluetooth intercoms

I found the Sena more easy to connect with and more importantly hold the connection . I suppose its what you are connecting to ? i only use it really for listening to music from the Nav 5 . I did try the whole hog with the auto com Air , linked it to the sat nav etc . When I tried to connect the Air to and iPhone it took ages to first pair them up , but the Sena paired instantly ! each to their own and all that
