Hi all!
Just need to pick your brains. I had an old autocom Pro 3000 on my old RT. I always wear earplugs-have some proper custom made filtered jobbies from Headset Services in Shoreham (firm paid for them!), so have autocom set to the appropriate position. It worked o.k with the Blaupunkt radio/cassette on the RT, but when I plugged an Mp3 or cd player into the 3.5mm stereo jack socket, the sound was almost inaudible. After discussion with the ever helpful Doug, I sent the unit off for an earguard mod and new connectors. I got it back and plugged it into the GS and....not much differance. I rang Doug back-he reckoned it should be about 120% louder after the mods, but suggested I try plugging in an old Aiwa rad/cassette. This works as well as the old RT radio. I'm now confused-is there something different about radio output? If I buy a posh MP3/radio, how do I get the volume up to an audible level?
Thanks in anticipation, Martin.
