Cant seem to get my Motorola V600 to work with the Autocom Active 7. Any-body experienced this or is it me? Have spoken to Autocom who keep suggesting things but nothing seems to have sorted it yet. Anyway round it guys or have i got to buy another phone?

Thanks in advance to anyone

Can't help you with the Autocom question, I'm afraid, but have you found a way to stop the bloody V600 changing its 'ring type' in your pocket?

I keep missing calls because the twat who designed it didn't build in a 'disable all buttons when phone is closed' function.

Have you had a similar experience and managed to overcome it?

Mike:)

Well Mike,

If i`ve got it right i think you can change the left smart key, the one probably giving you problems, to something else other than ring stuff. I changed mine to "Camera" using- - settings--personalise--home screen--home keys--Then swapped stuff about. Carefull though `cos first time i tried swapping stuff something weird happened and i had to send it back to Motorola to have a Software repair.

Cheers bud.

Unfortunately not. I've just tried it and the 'Left Soft Key' is the one above the 'on/off' button - not the one on the side of the phone.

You got me all excited thinking I could fix it - bugger!

Mike:P

Same problem with a v525 here Mike...I've even considered taking the fekker apart and disconnecting those stupid bloody buttons...I never use them anyway....crap crap design!

Smart Key -- soft key-- different buttons mate!

Okay, just gone back through it and changed the function of the smart key to 'Camera' (for want of something else). The smart key (the one below the up & down rocker switch on the left side) now operates the camera when the phone is open.

But there is no change to the function of the external buttons when the phone is closed - it'll still turn off the ringer when it's in your pocket.

Thanks anyway...

Mike:(
