Autocom BTM02A ????

Good morning All, 2017 GS adventure arrived and under the seat there's an Autocom BTM02A unit wired in? looked through internet but still very unsure of what this actually does?? can someone please explain in laymans terms its function, I never ride with a pillion so 2 up comms never required??

If I recall correctly that was a Bluetooth module to take audio from a Sat Nav and feed it into a wired Autocom system. I may be wrong, it’s been a while.
