Hi all,
I want to connect an Autocom to my 650 Peg (1997). I've been told it would be best to connect it to the rear brake switch. Where is the rear brake switch connection or does anyone recommend a different connection point?
Grateful for any help! Thanks!

No No No........ not the rear brake switch (it will only work when you apply the brake)

connect it into the rear light

Well the feed to the brake switch is live, is on my Honda anyway. That's where my Autocom and PMR is powered from.

Correct, but he's not sure where the brake switch is, so chances are that he won't know which side is constant 12v+, everybody knows where the rear light is:aidan

Of course, I'm assuming the rear light on his moto is on when the ignition is switched on

Um... HER moto. :angel
(I'll be back with better input once I do a bit more hoking about.)

I should have mentioned that I use one of these. Plug in and play, no cutting into the bike's wiring required. You will need to crimp a couple of the supplied bullet connectors to the power lead for your Autocom, that's all.

There is a MkII harness as well; this has higher capacity, using relays, should you need it. Along with a permanent live option I believe.

Lovely. Thanks for the suggestion. My bike has had comms and other stuff fitted by previous owners and may have something akin to this which might be part of the reason we're not sure what we're looking at.

Investigations....
