If for the rider you need one with a BGNS (BackGround Noise Sensor). I believe that the Chainspeed website lists product compatability for parts such as this.
Having said that a std. 7 pin headset will work, you won't benefit from the automatic volume adjustment which is one of the great things about the Super Pro Avi. Changed from Active Plus to one of these and asked if my old headset would work, answer was 'yes' and it did for the week until I got around to fitting the correct one.
Thought the year they changed was 2009, not 2006, though.

The Super pro uses a 32ohm speaker whereas the logic uses an 8ohm speaker. They're visibly indistinguishable so be careful what you buy!
