I have a autocom super pro avi, and it's driving me mad!

I have an ipod connected into the thing, and the least breath of air on the mic turns the sound down to an unacceptable level..

in fact it's down most of the time. But I've turned the vox to the minimum setting and it still cuts in?

Where am I going wrong.. help me before I go starcom..

has anyone had this problem and remedied it?

Thanks

I have the same system and the volume from the ipod is to low to hear it at any real speed (50mph and up) so I use the music player on my phone. As far as the vox setting I never had any problems with it. I dont have the instructions to hand but is turning the setting down not making it more sensitive?

If you are in south lanarkshire then you wont be to far from me if you need a hand or want to try another unit.

Things to try, you need to turn the VOX anti clockwise to set the VOX harder. What helmet are you using? Also are you definately plugging into the riders lead not the pillions lead (as this is getting a common problem with the GS's)

Have you got any connections into the AUX4 socket.

One thing I will say though is that the latest ipod's are not the loudest of mp3players due to the ear gurad feature they are now coming with. I believe there is a download that you can do to increase the overall volume. The volume levels have been proved ot be low as run against a £4 MP3 player brought from Tesco's.

Thanks, I'll look into this and report back my findings.
I might take you up on a visit columbus, I'm near East Kilbride if this goes nowhere thanks.

Cheers
