Lucy’s Autocom/Icom set up has decided to play up. It was fine all through the Baltic States earlier this year but now it’s virtually impossible for me to hear what she is saying, she can hear me fine.
Today we’ve identified the fact that it is related to engine revs, Lucy can be right along side me and I can’t hear her but, if she pulls the clutch in and allows the bike to tick over (even though we’re doing 60mph) and then talks I can hear her fine.
I assume it’s interference from either the alternator, injectors or ignition but why was it fine for 4 months.
Anyone else had this problem, is an inline suppressor fitted on the live feed to the radio the answer?
Both the radio and active 7 smart is powered by the bikes 12v system (the radios through a 7v step down)
Cheers
