I'm just about to fit an autocom (the second on this bike as I've now got a new one which works with my phone). Previously I didn't bother with an in-line fuse reasoning the aux socket has a power cut off so a fuse wasn't necessary, is this correct or should I really put a fuse in?
Cheers JG

I'd always fit a fuse of the correct rating for the new equipment and it's wiring. The next fuse down the line may have a higher current rating than your equipment, so if a fault occurs the damage will be done before the original fuse blows.
