officially THE best place to live . . . . Wokingha
I have an Autocom (Easi-7: rider to pillion with mike & earphones in our helmets: battery powered: jack sockets for phone and Aux).

Friends have a pair of Maxon 49-HX transceivers with hard-wired cable to aerial / one earpiece / boom mike. The aerial Velcro attaches to the outside of the helmet, with a flying lead to the single earpiece and mike inside the helmet.

Question: Is it possible to connect from the Autocom Aux jack to the Maxon, which takes a 5-pin connector for its pillion connection?

We want to have Bike to Bike for our Norway tour, mainly just to say "Turn left ahead . . . . Watch out for the reindeer shit . . . I think we'd better stop for a comfort break, etc"

I thought that if me and SWBO could talk to each other via our Autocom, but be able to talk via the Maxon to the other bike for route instructions then all would be OK. Without this the scenario looks like I will have to have both the Autocom and Maxon mikes and earpieces in my helmet . . .

Anyone got any suggestions? And No, I'm not going to shell out another £300 for the extra Autocom bits just to be able to say "Watch out for the Reindeer shit"!

Cheers,

Neil.
