I'm really sorry to ask, because I can see this has been done to death in the past, but I can't find the right thread, dispite searching and RAM-man telling me what to search for

I'm getting a buzz when I try to power my iPod and output it through an autocom Active 7 Smart - I thought I found the answer in this artical as I do have this Autocom part, but for some reason only one of the channels seems to suppress, does that mean the other is broken or does it mean its doing what is supposed to do ie only suppress one channel?
The Autocom and the iPod are power from unsuppressed cabling running from the rear underseat aux power supply and the gps is powered unsuppressed through the front aux power supply.
I read somewhere (and understood in the past) that you can suppress these power lines the same way you used to a car stereo, but do I need to suppress all three units separately or can I suppress the two that are power from the same port together?
I guess I will need to try it to see if that fixes the problem as the other thing that I'm wondering is, is the noise picked up on the audio cables? they are standard Autocom ones to I assume they would be shielded?
Sorry guys, I know this is all a pretty numpty question to some, but I've read and read and either can't find an answer or the ones I can just fly over my blonde head

"tuff titty" doesn't sound like a good business response to any customer query
