Autocom - Non BGNS headset with Super Pro Avi

Have fitted an Autocom Pro Avi intercom replacing the Active Plus system I had previously. Can I use the former with the headset from the latter, my lid is due for renewal (bust Arai side-pod no longer available that's held on with Gaffer tape). I have a ride-out organised this weekend and don't have enough time to go out and try on helmets etc. Both headsets are 7 pin, the only difference I can see is the BackGround Noise Sensor.

When I asked Autocom the same question they said that it was fine.

They explained that the other way around doesn't work though. I have the Super Pro AVI and the wife has the Active Plus. Apparantly I can't use my helmet if I ride her bike as the BGNS is seen by the Active Plus as a 3rd mic (for side car use) and constantly thinks someone is talking. I've not actually tried it since their explanation meant it wouldn't work.

Yes as mentioned that should be fine, the only thing you may have to do is buy a £1 plug for the ANS sensor if you had one on your pro headset kit.

I do have a proper BGNS equiped headset for the Super Pro Avi, it's just that I'd rather fit it once to my new helmet than rather have the faff of swapping out the old headset from my current lid only to have to do it all again with my new lid in a week or two.

The complete Active plus outfit will go onto eBay once the new lid has been set-up with the Super Pro headset.

All sounds good, i carry lots of spares for the older autocom units so if you ever need anything just let me know! Also loads of second hand stuff at really cheap prices! Good luck with everything!

Wish I'd known that earlier as I've spent quite a bit on eBay, with Autocom directly and with Chainspeed gathering all the bits I needed.
