I know there are lots of thread on this subject with lots of different answers.

Is it ok to wire the autocom to the back of the aux socket

or

Am I better coming straight of the battery with an in-line switch to prevent battery drain and keep away from the cambus system

Wired my Autocom of the back of the auxilary socket by soldering the wires onto the existing wires. Switches on and off with the ignition, no problems.

I thought the accessory socket powered down after a while of ignition off thereby the battery drain issue goes away - as it does anyway when you disconnect your headset from the Autocom hub I believe.
