Autocom - Radio for Bike to Bike

There are some cheap radio's for sale on ebay from Hong Kong £30 a pair. Does anyone know if the Motorola TalkAbout T5720 will work with the autocom?

I don't know if they will work with your Autocom, but in the ebay sale I looked at it said in the blurb they are GMRS/FRS ie American standard, so be careful what your buying, you want PMR for the UK and Europe, plus I'd be careful of buying anything like that from Asia/Hong kong, they may well be copies anyway.

From Maplin, does anyone know if they will connect to autocom? looking for coms on the cheap!

Well the Cobra's are PMR, so thats a start, but an Autocom cable won't plug straight in to them, you would need an adaptor Maplin Pn:A79FU and an Autocom Icom cable, even then I can't guarantee it will work because so many of these radios have different pin configurations and methods of operating the PTT.

But I can tell you an Alan 456r radio works with the Autocom/Icom radio cable and they cost around £49.99 each
