Hi all.
Had an old pre 2009 7 pin active rider set up on my last GS.
Sold the bike and left the unit on the bike.
Got a new 1200 GSA and had a new type post 2009 logic 1 unit fitted.
Still have the speakers fitted in the helmets from the old system.
I was told that the new system helmet speakers are much louder than the old ones. 32 ohms compared to 8 ohms.
However I as out the other day with the old ones in my helmet and they sounded fine. Plugging the new ones in to the Autocom and holding them up to my ear , they didn't sound much louder. Are the new speakers a lot louder?
I ride with earplugs in but don't want to do the whole ripping helmet apart thing again if I don't need to.
Any thoughts ?

Cheers
Kev

Kev, I've been using 32ohm speakers in my helmet for several years now, but making other changes to my Autocom system, I find now that the speakers are not loud enough(with ear plugs in). I am still trying to get round this issue........

The Logic uses 8 ohm speakers to get the same volume but using less battery power than the 12V-only systems.
I suppose that if one has an 8-ohm system driving 32-ohm speakers then the maximum volume would be lower. But you seem perfectly happy...
